Chicken fried Chicken from Red’s Porch in Austin! THE BEST THING EVER.

Shag Roll from Uchiko in Austin. This tempura roll was just amazing! The atmosphere of the place was even better, definitely the place to go for a little up-scale dinner, meeting, or even date.

Vietnamese food at Ladies Market. The wait to get into any restaurant in this area was ridiculous! We got lucky and found this place! The noodles were really good, but the appetizer was so much better. It was a - I don’t know how to say that in English so I’ll the Hindi word - papard with noodles, meat and spring onions! Add a little fish sauce and you are good to go. I wish I could remember the names of these restaurants to post, but that is a lost cause. 

Noodles and Dumplings from one of the University Canteens! It was my first meal in Hong Kong and I enjoyed it! The Cateens at The Chinese University at Hong Kong are really good. I don’t know whether that is because I don’t know any better, or because it actually is that good. I guess I will find out once I hit the street vendors!

Dim Sum at the Great Eastern Restaurant in Chinatown was simply AMAZING. For President Obama to stop by this place a few weeks ago, you know this must be worthwhile! Get everything and anything you possibly can. It is cheap (and we all know that is a big plus in my book). I tried Chicken Feet for the first time and it was pretty good! It might take a little getting used to if you aren’t big on ethnic food… stick with the simple options! Either way, do try! They usually drink hot tea with their brunch. I think it was abnormal to ask for a glass of water while eating… 

Chicken fried steak from Treadgill’s. If you are looking for the perfect “southern” meal, this is the place to go! 

If you ever find yourself in Houston, go to The Ambassador! Have the owner recommend something for you depending on what you are in the mood for. BEST indo-chinese food I have had since I lived in India. (Shrimp and Scallops dish) 

Im sure most anyone in Austin know about Tiff’s Treats! This place has THE best cookies ever. That is all I need to say.

Tacos from Trudy’s in Austin. A simple crunch if you are craving some Tex-Mex! Make sure to try their Mexican Martinis! I hear they are amazing!

Protein 2000 from Veggie Heaven on the ‘drag’ in Austin. This Vegan/Vegetarian place looks a little sketchy at first but their tofu is pretty amazing. Coming from someone who is a carnivore you have to go check this place out! And they have some really cool t-shirts for 5 dollars!

Snow Crab Sushi from Sushi Niichi in ‘West Campus’ Austin. Just really good sushi. Not much else to say, other than it being a prime location in the middle of West Campus.

A Strawberry Banana Smoothie from Red Mango in ‘West Campus’ Austin. So delicious and perfect for the summer heat! And they have a points system! The more you visit the more free drinks/yogurt! Check it out.

Kerby Lane on the ‘drag’ in Austin. Very famous for their Kerby Queso. I never could find that perfect mix of queso with guacamole. Try the food as well! They serve breakfast all day as well… and whats better than it being open 24/7? 

Rasta Pasta on the ‘drag’ in Austin. I have no idea what the theme and food have in common but if you are looking for a place with a decent atmosphere and huge portions this is the place to go.
